Benedictine Brewery: A Family-Friendly Retreat with Unique Brews and Snacks

Great place to stop for a pint and a snack. The beers were all great and the staff was amazing. We'll be back next time we pass through the area. It's family/kid friendly also.

Loved it here. Great flight, nice food cart available and the snacks here looked delicious (didn't realize they had snacks, menu was off to the side and it was busy so we missed it). Wish we had that but our sandwiches where good. Cute brewery, highly recommend.

It’s a very nice place! We arrived when they opened at 2:00PM and by 3:15 it was a hoppin’ place! Family friendly too! We visited a couple years ago and again today December 28 will definitely have to come back in the summer they are putting in an additional area for outside seating.

We have traveled far and wide, and always enjoy sampling local beers and wines along the way. Our all time favorite craft brewery is Benedictine Brewery. A wide variety of fresh beer served in a beautiful setting and made by the monks of Mount Angel Abbey. The brewery does a great job of romanticizing their story. "The monks at Mount Angel Abbey, in the spirit of a centuries-old monastic tradition, are dedicated to our craft for a higher purpose. Using hops grown in our own backyard and pristine Oregon water, we brew in facilities located right on Abbey grounds. "It’s a place where monastic life cultivates hard work and prayer, with every bottle brewed to the glory of God. We welcome all to enjoy our beer in gatherings of food and fellowship, nourishing both the body and the spirit."

Knowing that monks in medieval European monasteries brewed beer with great care and meticulous record-keeping, this place felt a little more special to me. The wide, open landscape offered a refreshing view, and the balance and structure of their ale were truly impressive. The Dark Sour, in particular, stood out as something quite unique. I highly recommend this spot. I made a point to stop here on my way to the campground at Silver Falls State Park, and I ended up having a thoroughly satisfying experience.

Benedictine Brewery was a lovely stop in our way from PDX to Silverton. The beer is made by the monks and it's delicious. Enjoy a few snacks and a cold one when you're passing through + check out the gift store for some fun souvineers to bring home to the fam. We'll be back!

Have always loved coming here. Miss the meatballs but this beer is the best I’ve had at any brewery hands down. I regularly make the 45 minute drive (one way!) out here just to have their beer.

This brewery was great! Honestly, I think this brewery is in a high-end location with a beautiful view. The beer was good, but it didn't match how amazing the view is. Pretty average beer (on par with most other breweries), but still good! I love the different glass options! I definitely recommend checking it out!
